Rob Douglas

MBA, Chartered MCSI, CeMAP

Husband to Amy, Father to Oscar and Ella, walker/feeder to Poppy the Cocker Spaniel, Rob is first and foremost a family man. He also brings over two decades of professional and life experience spanning not just fourteen years in financial services but seven serving as a British Army Officer and most recently a stint as an entrepreneurial life sciences investor.

Passionate about staying physically and mentally fit, Rob loves sport and coaches rugby to his son's Under-11 mini rugby team, as well as being a qualified referee. Rob believes in having a growth mindset and is an avid reader, seeking continual self-improvement.

Rob graduated with distinction from Warwick Business School when studying for his Executive MBA between 2015-17.

As a veteran of 2 tours in Afghanistan, Rob takes great pride in his military service which was a formative time in his life and helped forge the character he has taken into his subsequent profession. This is evidenced by the choice of company name, as Virtutis Fortuna Comes is an integral part of Rob's story and a motto he tries to live his life by.

Rob serves as a Trustee to the Royal Yorkshire Regiment Charities, with particular responsibility for holding the investment managers of the portfolios for that former Regimental Trust to account, and is therefore particularly proud to also be associated with the St. James's Place Charitable Foundation. The latter has supported thousands of charities across the world since its inception in 1992, awarding significant grants that make a positive and lasting difference to people’s lives by assisting these charities in the incredible work they do every day.
