About Rob

My career before establishing VFC Wealth Management has forged my identity and the values which the business is built upon. This starts with the company name as I formerly served for 7 years in the British Army, and VFC stands for Virtutis Fortuna Comes, the motto of the Duke of Wellington's Regiment that I commissioned into, which translates as ‘Fortune Favours the Brave’.

Post-Army I spent a decade working in three large multi-national banks building extensive wealth management experience up to Director level from that corporate perspective. A year spent working in an entrepreneurial environment helping to launch biotech startups convinced me that running my own financial advisory business was the best use of my skills, characteristics and ambitions. This is the genesis for VFC Wealth Management, the business that with my clients' support I intend to dedicate myself to growing for the rest of my working life.

Any financial advisory and investment management company is fundamentally a people business built on strong personal relationships, trust and clear values. For me, client needs and best interests always come first, so you can expect me to bring integrity, gravitas and strong technical knowledge delivered in a friendly, informal manner.

These have been gained through my 20 years of working in a variety of roles and industries. Culture is incredibly important to me and in VFC Wealth Management I aspire to create a successful wealth management brand associated with the core values of ‘Reliability; Empathy; Honesty; Authenticity; Discipline; Lifelong Learning'.

I have extensive experience working with and advising financial and city professionals, entrepreneurs and business owners plus charities and foundations. Whichever background, you won't find another wealth manager more committed to deliver exemplary service and advice.
